A little help to keep practising.
Practice Log n Share records your practice time and helps you show your effort to a teacher or someone supporting your progress. The app and support are available in English and Japanese.
Logging and sharing
How do I record practice?
Tap a category card in Log to start. Tap another card when you change activities. You can pause, resume, and add or correct logs later.
How do I change categories or the icon?
Press and hold a category card to open Reorder categories or Edit or Add Categories. Change the theme icon in Advanced settings in the menu. This does not change the app icon on the Home Screen.
Are records sent to my teacher?
Share presents category totals and daily records in a view you can show to someone. It does not send records automatically, post to social media or provide shared editing.
How do I finish from a Live Activity?
While logging on a supported iPhone, tap Finish on the Lock Screen or the expanded Dynamic Island. Live Activities must be allowed in iOS settings. The button is not shown while paused.
Free allowance and purchases
How much can I log for free?
You can log practice on 5 distinct dates for free. They do not need to be consecutive, and there is no expiry. Multiple logs on the same date count as one day, and days without logging do not use the allowance. Logging on a sixth or later new date requires a one-time unlock. Adding logs to dates covered by your free allowance, and viewing, editing, deleting, sharing, exporting and restoring existing records, remain free. This is not a subscription, and there is no automatic charge. The price is shown before purchase.
How do deletion, midnight and manually added logs affect the count?
The app keeps the dates used for free logging on your device when records are saved. Deleting or editing records does not return a used date or move it to another date. Selecting a category to prepare without starting does not use a day. A running session is never stopped at midnight; the next start or resume is checked for its date. A manually added log spanning several dates counts each date. An end time exactly at midnight does not count the following date.
What happens to the free allowance when I restore a backup?
Restoring records within the same installation does not return used free dates. After reinstalling or on another device without a usage ledger, the app derives free dates from the first 5 dates in the restored records. The usage ledger, including dates whose records were deleted, is not included in current JSON exports or app-managed iCloud backups. If you have purchased the unlock, restore your earlier purchase with the same Apple Account.
I bought the unlock, but still see a lock
Check that you are signed into the App Store with the Apple Account used for the purchase. In the menu, open Purchase and choose Restore Earlier Purchase. An internet connection is required. If that does not help, contact support with the message shown. Never send your Apple Account password or payment card details.
Can I cancel or request a refund?
Cancelling the purchase sheet leaves the purchase incomplete. Apple handles refund requests for completed purchases through the official link below. Deleting the app does not request a refund.
Backups and protecting records
Before changing devices or deleting the app
In the menu, open Backup & Restore and select Export JSON. Keep the file outside the app and check that it exists at the destination. To restore, choose a backup and review the differences before replacing the current records. Restore does not append or merge records.
Does iCloud sync my records?
No. When iCloud is available to your installed build, the app automatically copies your records to your own iCloud. Each installation has separate backups, with a latest copy and up to 14 daily copies. This is not a promise that all copies expire after 14 days. Restoring requires reviewing the contents. Local saving and JSON export work when iCloud is unavailable.
My records will not load or save
Keep the app installed. Open Backup & Restore and see whether you can export JSON or recovery files. Recovery files can include unreadable originals, so keep them somewhere safe. Check available device storage and contact support with the error shown. The developer cannot retrieve your local records remotely.
How do I delete records?
You can delete individual logs in the app. Deleting the app removes its local data, but exported files, OS backups and iCloud copies may remain separately. Manage those copies at their destinations or in iCloud settings. Deleting a record does not remove every historical backup containing it.
